What is the Lost Village app?

Your complete guide to the world of Lost Village. Set times, maps, Incredible Eating bookings, Energy Garden reservations, the Solo Villager group chat, and rewards for our most dedicated patrons… plus push notifications for things you really won’t want to miss. Secret sets and hidden spaces very much included.

This year it’s also where you’ll set up and manage your Lost Society membership. Download it now from the App Store or Google Play.

What is the wristband & wallet?

As well as getting you through the gates, your wristband is how you pay for everything on site this year. Drinks, food, whatever the weekend throws up. No cards, no cash, no reaching for your phone at the bar. Just tap and carry on.

Inside the app you’ll find your Lost Society membership card; your balance, your transaction history, top-up and refund all in one place.

What’s the thinking behind this system?

We’re very aware that we’ve got a lot of super dedicated Villagers, and for a long time we’ve been looking for a way to reward such loyalty. After seeing this system at a selection of festivals in Europe last summer, we realised just how good it was and how it could fix this exact conundrum, allowing us to bring The Lost Society to life. It’s so smooth, efficient, puts everything in one place and allows us to unveil clues, hints and rewards in a way that is perfect for the LV world.

Do I need the App?

The app is best way to use the system and make the most of the Lost Society membership and all that goes with it. However, if you want to use just your wristband and top-up points on site, then you can do that too.

How do I get set up? Step by step.

  1. Download the Lost Village app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Search ‘Lost Village’.
  2. Open the app and create an account, or log in if you already have one.
  3. Tap ‘My Tickets’ and enter the 13-digit e-ticket number from your Kaboodle ticket pdf, or the 24-character code from your Tixel ticket pdf.Where to find your barcode
  4. Tap ‘Wallet’ in the bottom menu.
  5. Choose your amount, add your payment details and tap ‘Add funds’.
  6. Done. Your balance shows in the app and you’re ready to go.

You can add more funds at any point before or during the festival.

How do I top up my wallet?

Through the app. Before you arrive is ideal, but you can top up any time during the weekend too. There are also top-up stations around the site and app hotspot points at every bar so you can do it on the spot if needed.

How much should I add?

As much or as little as feels right; the minimum top-up is £5 and there’s no maximum. There’s no pressure to get it exactly right before you arrive either. You can add more at any point through the app or at a top-up station on site. Whatever you don’t spend comes back to you after the festival. Every penny.

Can I still pay with cash or card on site?

No. All payments on site go through your wristband. It’s worth getting your wallet set up and topped up before you arrive; that way, once you’re through the gates, the weekend can begin properly. If you do need to add funds on the day, the app and on-site top-up stations have you covered. You can also exchange cash for wallet credit at The Oracle on site.

Please note: hire of lockers, shuttles and charging services from our official partners may operate separately.

What happens to money I don't spend?

Simple. After the weekend, on Monday afternoon, open the app, tap to request your refund, and it’ll be back in your account within 4 working days. Every penny comes back. No forms, no chasing, just one tap. We’ll remind you to do it too. The refund window is open for one month following the last day of the festival.

Is there a charge for using the cashless system?

No. Adding funds to your wallet, topping up during the weekend and requesting a refund afterwards are all completely free. What goes in is what you get to spend.

Can I check my balance and see what I've spent?

Yes. Your full transaction history is visible in the app wallet at any time, during and after the weekend. Useful information. Occasionally humbling reading.

What if my balance runs out mid-weekend?

Top up through the app. There are WiFi points at every bar across the site so you can do it on the spot, or head to one of the top-up stations if you’d prefer help from a human.

Where do I collect my wristband?

You’ll receive it on arrival when your ticket is scanned at the entrance. Have your app open and ready.

What if I lose my wristband?

Head to The Oracle straight away. Your funds are linked to your account, not the physical wristband itself, so your balance is safe. The team will deactivate the old wristband and get you a new one with everything transferred across.

What if I need to change the name on my ticket?

If you need to change the name on your ticket, please make sure this is done before setting up your cashless wallet and adding funds. Once money has been added to your wallet it can’t be refunded until the standard refund window opens after the festival, so if you’re planning to resell or transfer your ticket to someone else, get that sorted first.

To change the name on your ticket, follow the steps listed under ‘name change’ on our information page HERE.

Is my wristband waterproof?

Yes. Rain, mud, whatever the weekend involves, your wristband can handle it.

Does my wristband need WiFi or signal to work?

No. Once it’s linked and activated, your wristband works at every payment point across the site without needing any signal at all. It uses the same NFC technology as a contactless bank card.

What if my phone battery dies?

Your wristband will still work completely normally for payments. We’d still recommend a portable charger though; you’ll want the app handy for set times, clues and anything else worth disappearing into.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. No sensitive payment data is stored on the wristband itself; your funds are held in your account, not on the chip. Your card details are handled by our payment provider and are never held by Lost Village.

Can my wristband be used to track where I am?

No. Your wristband isn’t a GPS tracker. It simply works at entry points and payment scanners across the festival. Where you wander is your own business.

I'm on the guestlist / an artist / crew. Is this the same for me?

Yes, everyone on site this year uses the same system. If there’s anything specific you need to know, you’ll receive separate instructions closer to the festival.

I have a question that isn't answered here.
