Covid-19 Arrival Process

COVID-19

Prepare for the Village
Covid-19

Here is what you need to do to ensure your journey into Lost Village is smooth…

1. Download the NHS app here: https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-app/ (please note this is different to the NHS COVID-19 App).

The app icon looks like this:

We will be using the NHS app to verify everyone’s COVID status, to gain entry to the festival. Everyone accessing the festival must be able to show proof of one of the below.

Either:

  • Proof of full vaccination, with the second vaccine having been given at least 14 days prior to arriving at Lost Village. This proof will NEED to be shown on the NHS App and not via any other means.

OR

  • Proof of natural immunity following a positive PCR test (providing it has been at least 10 days since your PCR test and up to 180 days after taking the test)

OR

If you are not fully vaccinated then you must be able to show proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test result on the NHS app. You will need to ensure you’ve taken a Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours prior to arrival to Lost Village. If this applies to you, then follow these steps:

  • Order your Lateral Flow Test here order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests or collect one from your place of work or local test centre (we recommend ordering these ASAP as there may be a shortage closer to the time!)
  • Carry out a Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours prior to arrival to Lost Village
  • Submit your result on the NHS app
  • Save your COVID Pass to the wallet of your Smart Phone

NOTE: It can take over 2 hours for your test result to show on the NHS app. Please submit your result with plenty of time to spare.  You can now save your NHS COVID Pass to your Smart Phone wallet, which means you won’t be hampered by data connection issues.

We totally appreciate that if you’re double jabbed you’ll have an official COVID Pass, however we’d strongly recommend you also take a Lateral Flow Test prior to coming to Lost Village, just to be totally sure that you’re looking after yourself and your fellow villagers. Belt and braces!

What should I do if I test positive for Covid-19?

If you test positive for Covid-19 via a Lateral Flow Test before arrival you must follow NHS advice here. We ask that, in line with Government advice, you take a PCR test to confirm your result.

You should not attend Lost Village, so please act responsibly, stay home and protect your friends, other festival goers and the wider community.

If you’ve tested positive for Covid-19, you can request to rollover your tickets to Lost Village 2022. Please head here to read more.

If you are contacted directly and asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace please read and follow NHS Guidance

The rules on self-isolation have changed as of 16th August.

If someone you live with has symptoms of COVID-19, or has tested positive for COVID-19, you will not need to self-isolate if any of the following apply:

·      You’re fully vaccinated – this means 14 days have passed since your final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine given by the NHS

·      You’re under 18 years, 6 months old

·      You’re taking part or have taken part in a COVID-19 vaccine trial

·      You’re not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

Even if you do not have symptoms, you should still:

·      Book a PCR test through GOV.UK or call 119, to check if you have COVID-19. You can also get a home test kit delivered

·      Follow advice on how to avoid catching and spreading COVID-19

·      Consider limiting contact with people who are at higher risk from COVID-19

If the above does not apply to you and you are contacted directly and asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace you must self-isolate immediately and follow NHS Guidance

I've been told to isolate by NHS Test & Trace, what should I do?

If you’re contacted directly by NHS Test and Trace you must self-isolate immediately and follow NHS Guidance. This means you will not be able to attend Lost Village so please act responsibly, stay at home and protect your fellow Villagers and the wider community.

In this circumstance, you can request to rollover your tickets to Lost Village 2022. Please head here to read more.

What if someone who is double vaccinated tests positive for Covid-19 prior to Lost Village?

If you are double vaccinated but test positive for COVID-19 you will need to self isolate and not attend Lost Village 2021.

I tested positive for Covid-19 a short time ago and have since isolated and recovered. Do I need to take a Lateral Flow Test?

You can get an NHS Covid Pass with proof of natural immunity following a positive PCR test (providing it has been at least 10 days since your PCR test and up to 180 days after taking the test).

When should I take a Lateral Flow Test?

There will be no testing provision on arrival at Lost Village.

You should take your test at home before travelling to Lost Village within 48 hours prior to arrival. You NHS covid pass will only show in your wallet for the 48hrs once you’ve submitted the result so it’s important you do this before you leave for the Village.

After i've submitted my results via the app, how long does it take for the NHS Covid Pass to update?

This can take up to 2 hours, but it’s usually much sooner. Make sure you do your test in good time and submit the results into the NHS App before arriving, so your app has time to update. Once you have your pass please save it to your smart phone wallet.

Make sure your phone has plenty of charge on arrival to Lost Village. If you cannot present your COVID Pass you will not be allowed to enter. Please also allow for an additional 30 minutes to enter the site as check-in will take longer than normal. COVID Pass checks will take place in the car park.

Where can I get Lateral Flow Tests and how long do they take to arrive?

You can order Lateral Flow Tests for free from the NHS Website HERE

Each pack contains 7 tests and Royal Mail usually deliver the tests within 24-48hrs, though this may vary depending on where you are in the country.

I got my vaccine from another country, can I still come and will you accept this?

Absolutely – you can still come, but you will need a negative Lateral Flow Test result to gain entry.

Any residents from Northern Ireland or outside of the UK will need to take a Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours of arrival to Lost Village and report the test result.

You can find where to get a free Lateral Flow Test kit here.

I've had a PCR test within 48 hours of arrival. Why can't you accept this?

We are using the NHS App to verify covid status, which uses Lateral Flow Tests.

PCR tests should only be used if you are symptomatic.

Please download the NHS App and take a Lateral Flow Test within 48hrs of arrival and then upload the result to the NHS App.

You can still have and pass-on Covid-19 even with two vaccines. Why isn’t everyone taking Lateral Flow Tests?

The risk of contracting or passing on COVID is a lot lower if you are double vaccinated.

Lost Village is following government guidance issued for events, which is with use of the NHS app. We actively encourage all Villagers to test regularly, for the safety of your friends, other Villagers and the wider community.

Do I need to re-test myself whilst I am at Lost Village?

You will not be required to re-test yourself whilst at Lost Village however we actively encourage you to take stock of how you feel each morning. We have a shared responsibility when it comes to keeping each other as safe as possible.

If you feel unwell or produce a positive Lateral Flow Test whilst at Lost Village

We have everything in place to take good care of you. Please help us by staying where you are and calling us on +44 (0) 7389811476  –  we will reply with the steps you should take. You can also report an incident or Safety issue via the “Safety” button within the menu, on the Lost Village app.

Which NHS App is it? There are loads!

It can be quite confusing but please note this is the ‘NHS App’ NOT the NHS Covid-19 App, which is used for Track & Trace. This will not be used at Lost Village.

Once again please ensure this is the app that you have used and signed up to: https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-app/

There’s a picture of the icon that features in the Apple App Store below.

Do I have to wear a face covering or social distance during the festival?

There will be no need for social distancing at the festival and you don’t need to wear a face mask, but of course, if you’d like to wear one and it makes you feel comfortable then please do.

What precautions will the festival be taking to keep everyone safe?

As always, our priority is the safety of you the Villagers, artists and of course our staff. We are currently working very closely with Public Health Lincolnshire, North Kesteven District Council and Lincolnshire Police to ensure the event can go ahead.

What if I don't have a smart phone?

If you do not own a smartphone or computer you can still log a negative lateral flow test result by calling the phone number in your test kit’s instructions. After registering you will receive a text message confirming your negative test result from NHS that you can provide upon entry to the festival.  If you are fully vaccinated you can request an NHS Covid Pass Letter via the NHS Website.

The letter may take up to 5 working days to reach you, so ensure you order in good time before attending Lost Village.

Please note we will only accept this as proof if you do not own a smart phone.

I’m having issues with the NHS App and/or registering with the NHS website. What should I do?

If you are having problems with the NHS App or website we encourage you to contact the NHS App team here.
